Conference Participation & International Attendees

Q: Does NYS TESOL provide visa sponsorship for international attendees?
A: No. NYS TESOL does not provide visa sponsorship for international attendees.

Q: Can NYS TESOL issue official invitation letters for visa applications?
A: Yes, NYS TESOL can provide invitation letters upon request for registered or prospective attendees, but these letters do not constitute visa sponsorship.

Q: Are international TESOL professionals able to attend the conference without U.S. sponsorship?
A: Yes. International educators may attend the conference independently if they are able to obtain the appropriate travel visa on their own.

Q: What support does NYS TESOL provide for international participants planning to attend the conference?
A: NYS TESOL can provide conference information and invitation letters if needed, but participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements, visas, and accommodations.

Q: Can international educators submit presentation proposals?
A: Yes, international educators are welcome to submit proposals. However, they are responsible for their own travel arrangements if selected.
