We want to wish you a restful, joyful, and well-deserved summer break.
Please note: The NYS TESOL Executive Board will also be on “tech break” from July 1 to July 15, 2026.
As another school year comes to a close, it is time to celebrate all that you have accomplished.
ENL teachers wear many hats—teacher, advocate, collaborator, coach, and often a trusted source of support for multilingual learners and their families. This year undoubtedly brought moments of joy, challenge, growth, and change. Through it all, you continued to create welcoming classrooms where students could develop their language skills, share their identities, and build confidence.
Summer offers an opportunity to rest, reflect, and recharge. Whether you are traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading a good book, attending professional learning opportunities, or simply enjoying a slower pace, we hope you take time to celebrate your hard work and the difference you make every day.
As we look ahead to another year of learning and new opportunities, remember that you are part of a vibrant community of educators dedicated to supporting multilingual learners across New York State and beyond.
The NYS TESOL Executive Board will be on “tech break” from July 1 to July 15, 2026. We appreciate your involvement and will respond to messages in the order they are received after that break. We appreciate those who volunteer on the EB and want to respect their time and yours away from the job! Wishing you a restful, joyful, and well-deserved summer.
