Empowering Educators for Multilingual Success: Join the ALL4ELs Summer Symposium!
06/17/2026

an invitation from Drs. Gretchen Oliver and Karen Gregory, NYS TESOL members

A Day of Professional Growth and Networking

The Advancing Language and Literacy for English Learners (ALL4ELs) project at Siena University is thrilled to announce its annual Summer Symposium. This full day of professional learning and networking is designed to inspire and equip educators with the tools needed to support multilingual learners (MLLs) effectively.

We are honored to host a Keynote session featuring Dr. Jeff Zwiers, followed by interactive breakout sessions with Dr. Zwiers and Technology Consultant and ENL Specialist Kristen Buyce. Attendees will also explore poster sessions showcasing innovative, performance-based assessments developed by our dedicated Cohort 4 TESOL Scholars. Additionally, Project Director Dr. Gretchen Oliver and External Evaluator Dr. Kimberly Colvin will share insights from the research driving this project’s success.

Celebrating Five Years of Impact

Over the past five years, the ALL4ELs project has been a cornerstone of professional development in New York State, helping 136 educators earn or progress toward NYS certification in ESOL. These scholars have returned to their districts with a renewed passion, leading to stronger instructional practices, enhanced collaboration, and measurable improvements in student engagement and achievement. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable accomplishments at the symposium’s conclusion.
