Meet the NYS TESOL Member of the Month for December 2015
Jessica Marchi

Jessica started her career in ESL as an adjunct for the Haggerty English Language Program at SUNY New Paltz. It was there where she learned the value of collaboration and teamwork. The faculty were supportive, creative, inspiring people. Jessica made the transition to teaching ESL and English at Poughkeepsie Day School before finally settling into her current position as an ENL/ English teacher at Monroe Woodbury high school. Jessica values her NYS TESOL membership because it gives her the opportunity to stay connected to a community of dedicated ESL professionals, especially during this time of sizable change in public education. Jessica has a special interest in technology use in the classroom and has given dynamic presentations on the topic at the ALWC, TESOL International, and NYS TESOL Annual Conference, as well as summer teacher training workshops at SUNY New Paltz.
